This page is not, and doesn’t want to be, a specialized guide. We have reported to you, some places near Casa Valeria & Riccardo’s House, which we consider interesting for our guests. So don’t limit your curiosity! The lake offers many other possibilities and different kind of clubs. We remind you, that the opening times, often change during the year and it’s therefore better to check them before going on site. Also consider, that the kitchens are generally open from 12 to 14 for lunch and from 19 to 22 for dinner. In addition, many places are small and have only a few seats. We always recommend booking.

True heart of Perledo. Place of meeting and refreshment for locals and tourists. Is also bar and often broadcasts sporting events on TV, so it can be noisy, but perhaps this is its peculiarity. Close on Thursday. From Monday to Sunday offers a varied menu but sometimes just pizza. |

Located in the charming village of Vezio, a few dozen meters from the castle. The menu offers a wide selection of typical dishes of the area. The possibility to taste and sometimes buy, the foods used in the kitchen and from them producted, is really interesting: seasonally harvested vegetables from the family garden, quality meats from a small slaughterhouse, lake fish and fresh homemade pasta. They produce their own olive oil… |

Walking through the small and wonderful “contrade” (typical narrow streets) of the old Varenna, you will come across this tavern. Intimate and refined ambience, with vaulted ceilings made in tuff and stone walls. The menu is rich and varies according to the seasons, always offering fresh food, local cold cuts, homemade pasta, fish from the lake… my personal opinion… the “risotto al pesce persico” (perch fish rise), is not to be missed. Excellent value for money! |

This is what this restaurant offers, in the heart of the old Varenna, situated at the end of the splendid promenade that leads from ferry port the landing stage to the small old port. |

It is also worth mentioning as a pizzeria. Wide choise and different types of dough, as a base for your pizza: white, wholemeal, “pesto” (based on basil) and a mixture of carrots and pumpkin. Like for the restaurant, the service is informal, but doesn’t take off, the pleasure of enjoying a good pizza, especially admiring the lake view, from the internal terrace! |

| Note | VNP… very normal place… is not so romantic, is not so elegant, but the pizza is very good and the price it’s very fair. In addition to being a pizzeria, it is also a restaurant: the quality of the dishes is good, but the highlight in our opinion is pizza. Suggested for an easy going dinner. |

Immersed in nature, the roar of waterfalls, the incessant singing of cicadas and the mild temperature make it even more appreciated on hot summer days or evenings. A true mountain refuge, located at over 1800 s.l.m. Defining it as a restaurant is perhaps not appropriate. The structure and the surrounding environment are rustic. The food served is typical of the mountains. The quality of food and cuisine, however, have “forced” us to include it on our list. Salami, cheese and wild animals, handmade desserts and traditional grappa! Unmissable if you love the mountain and its flavors… |
