How to Arrive

Dear Guests, below the indications how to get Perledo. Few days before your arrival you will get a link with the detailed instructions for your self check-in.

 

Arriving by plane

The two main airports near Perledo are Milano Malpensa and Milano (Bergamo) Caravaggio Airport. If you are arriving by plane, therefore, you will most likely land in one of these two structures. Here are the directions to arrive in Perledo by public transport or car

Milano Malpensa Airport

By Car
  • roads: SS336 + A36 + SP32 + SS36  (probably the way suggested by navigator) – 101 Km / 1 h 29 min
  • roads: A8 + A4 + SS36  (easier but avoid rush hours 7 to 10 in the morning and 16 to 20 in the evening) – 121 Km / 1 h 37 min
By public transport

To avoid trafic problems, our suggestion is take the train (Malpensa Express) from the airport terminal to Milano Centrale railway station (about 50 min). Alternatively during the day or mandatorily durining the night, you can take the bus. Once in Milan take a train to Varenna-Esino. The journey takes about 1 h and there is no service during the night. 

Beware the last train from Milan to Varenna is at 21.20

Milano (Bergamo) Caravaggio Airport

By Car
  • roads: SS671 + SP342 + SS36  probably the way suggested by navigator – 67 Km / 1 h 14 min
  • roads: A4 + SS36  (easier but avoid rush hours 7 to 10 in the morning and 16 to 20 in the evening) -110 Km / 1 h 28 min
By public transport

Bus from the airport terminal to Milano Centrale railway station (about 50 min). Once in Milan take a train to Varenna-Esino (about 1 hour).

Beware the last train from Milan to Varenna is at 21.20

When you are close to Perledo

Arriving by car

If you’re driving along the SS36, take the “Bellano” exit. After the railway level crossing, turn left at the traffic light and continue along the SP72, heading south. At the Olivedo roundabout, follow the signs for Perledo.

If you are driving along the SP72, either in a northerly direction (coming from Lecco), or in a southerly direction (coming from Colico), at the roundabout of Olivedo follow the signs Perledo.

Arriving by train

Get off at Varenna-Esino station, you have three possibilities to arrive in Perledo:

  • Taxi. With suitcases, is the solution I suggest. The journay costs around € 10 / € 15, but you have the advantage to arrive in front of the house! Visit the page “trasports” for all the info about the taxi and not only.

  • Bus. The bus line D21 (timetables) to Perledo from the station.

  • Walking on a special path dedicated to pedestrians. It’s a nice 30 minutes walk, but in my opinion ideal, free of suitcases.
